HOLDEN, Maine – Join University of Maine forest vegetation instructor, Steve Sader for a tree identification walk and more, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, Fields Pond Audubon Center, 216 Fields Pond Road. Learn how to use a plant key to identify unknown species. Sader will demonstrate how to measure the height of a tree with a clinometer and participants will have a chance to take the measurement. Participants will learn how to build a plant press. Bring along a hand lens and binoculars if you have them. The cost if $25 members, $35 others. Advance registration is required.
