My in-laws know that I like to take lots of pictures and that I like unique things so when they were out in the woods they found this unusual bump and called it a tree troll. They took phone pics of it for me. When they got back to the house and showed me I found out just how bad phone pics can be. I couldn't see the tree troll at all. So my husband took me out to the tree to see for myself. I can see where this might be frightening if you were out in the woods all by yourself in the dark.
